Philadelphia’s Little Water: 7/10 🧐

Conclusion first: If you’re looking for drinks, this is worth a try. But if you’re just here for the food, you might want to consider Oyster House instead. The portions are generally on the smaller side. 🌟 p1 Raw Tuna A large slice of tuna topped with pickled sweet pepper crumbs and roasted olive bits. There’s a distinct lemon and sesame oil flavor. It also has shiso leaves. Overall, it’s quite salty and might be more suitable for those who are drinking. The seasoning was a bit too intense for my taste. 🐙p2 Raw Sweet Shrimp The portion was so small that my friend and I were stunned when it arrived. Sweet shrimp with sea urchin and chopped chili peppers—why? The chili completely overpowered the natural sweetness of the shrimp and sea urchin. The sauce in the middle tasted like soy sauce, and I think a bit less olive oil would have been better. The seasoning was way too heavy. 🍕p3 Hash Brown This is their signature dish, but honestly, the fried potatoes, crab meat, and sea urchin seemed like they had just met and didn’t really go together. They were all good on their own but didn’t blend well. 🍮p4 Toast (Lobster) The lobster and snails on top were stewed in white wine cream. The lobster was bouncy, and the snails were very fragrant. What was particularly special was the inclusion of many crunchy leek segments in the stew, which weren’t overcooked and didn’t have a strong, mushy leek flavor. As someone who usually dislikes leeks, I found this dish quite acceptable and even enjoyable. The toast underneath was incredibly fragrant, probably pan-fried in butter. It was so delicious that I swallowed it without fully savoring it. #PhillyFood #StudentEats #StudentMeals #PhillyLife
