Philadelphia|A Lebanese Brunch Hidden in Fishtown
Fishtown really is full of brunch gems! This time, I finally tried Suraya, a Lebanese spot I’d had my eye on — beautiful decor and surprisingly delightful brunch. ✨ Atmosphere is Everything The interior is rich with Middle Eastern touches, and the back garden patio is the real star — surrounded by greenery, sunlight streaming in… pure weekend relaxation vibes. 🍽️ Brunch Menu ($42/person — includes appetizer + main) Appetizer Spread (with 5 different dips — so flavorful!) Hummus – smooth and creamy with garlic and lemon Charred Eggplant – smoky, topped with pomegranate seeds Labneh – thick yogurt with cucumber, tomato, olive — refreshing! Muhammara (red pepper & walnut) – slightly spicy, nutty, layered with cumin — the best one! Taboulé – parsley and lemon salad, bright and fresh Served with freshly baked Lebanese flatbread — perfect for dipping! 🍖 Main Course (choose 1 out of 10 — my recommendations👇) Halabi Kebab – grilled lamb skewers, tender, juicy, and richly spiced Samke Harra – charcoal-grilled Branzino (sea bass) with crispy skin and spiced tomato sauce — layers of flavor, fish is super tender 🥐 Pastry Basket – skip it! Only the croissant was good… 📍 Suraya 1528 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 💰 Brunch: $42 per person (appetizer + 1 main included) ⏳ Go early on weekends — it gets packed!
