Philadelphia|Forsythia — A Third Visit to This Modern French Gem 🇫🇷✨

This was my third time at this stylish French spot—I took photos the first two visits but never posted (I’ll fill that gap later 😉). This time, I came for Restaurant Week to try their Rohan Duck Breast, normally $140! King Salmon Crudo – A classic seafood starter. Salmon topped with caviar that adds a burst of ocean flavor, highlighting the fish’s tenderness and richness. The sauce is sour cream–based with a green-herb accent—distinct and intriguing (French sauces remain a mystery to me 🧐). Sweet Potato & Pumpkin Velouté – A smooth, tangy-sweet pumpkin soup swirled with sour cream, topped with chia seeds and nuts for aroma, and finished with blue crab for umami.💕😊 Rohan Duck à l’Orange – French-style duck breast with orange sauce. It looks—and eats—almost like steak, but with that distinct duck aroma. Served with Brussels sprouts and parsnip, balanced by a tangy orange sauce that cuts through the richness. Honestly, their French sauces are next-level—every dish has a uniquely complex sauce. Crème Caramel – Silky, smooth, and delightfully wobbly caramel-chocolate pudding.😍👍 Pink Pineapple Tart – Made with pink pineapple! The pastry crust was delicious, though the plating felt a tad rustic (or maybe intentionally casual? 🍍). Overall: Forsythia reminds me of the saying, “No detail is too small when it comes to fine food.” From appetizer to dessert, every plate is thoughtfully composed in color and arrangement. I worried Restaurant Week might mean a dip in quality, but they maintained their usual standard. Portions are decent—you won’t leave hungry. At $60 for dinner, it’s solid value and totally worth a visit! #PhillyEats #FrenchCuisine #RestaurantWeek #FineDining #ForsythiaPhilly #DuckLovers
