Philadelphia|Grilling in a Castle? An Ultra-Retro

Over the weekend, I visited a stunning Uzbekistan restaurant called Samarkand Steakhouse — a true paradise for meat lovers 🥩🔥. The beef and lamb were incredibly fresh and generously portioned. The lamb was especially well-handled — flavorful with no gaminess. Must-try specialties: 🥟 Samsa (Baked Dumplings) – Highly recommend! We chose the lamb filling — so delicious! The pastry was flaky and chewy, with amazing texture — 10/10! 🍚 Plov (Hand-pulled Rice) – I’d give it a 7/10 only because the carrot flavor was strong (I’m not a fan of cooked carrots). But the rice was perfectly chewy and the beef chunks were tender and tasty. 🍰 Dessert: Honey Cake – Incredibly layered in flavor — smoky caramel, dark chocolate, and sweet honey blended beautifully, and it wasn’t overly sweet! Overall, this is a great fine dining spot for gatherings or dates. The menu and location are in the last slide — feel free to save it! Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead 💖 #Philadelphia #PhillyLife #PhillyArea #PhillyFood #StudyInPhilly #WeekendVibes #FoodDiaries
