Philadelphia|Little Walter’s
Address: 2049 E Hagert St, Philadelphia, PA 19125 📍 This spot made it to The New York Times' 2024 list of America's 50 Best Restaurants! I’ll admit I was a little skeptical about the ranking, but since I’d never tried Polish food before, I figured why not give it a shot 🤔! Tried & Tested Dishes - 🥗 Surówka (Raw & Pickled Vegetable Salads): First time having a salad with separate raw and pickled veggies—overall, it’s tangy, salty, and herby. Not “wow, life-changing” good, but not bad either—just a fun, new culinary experience! Still recommend giving it a try if you’re curious 😊. Price: $13 - 🌭 Kiełbasa (Pork Shoulder, Coriander, Marjoram): The sausage has decent flavor, and the sauce is a nice balance of tangy and salty. It’s… okay? Nothing super memorable, but solid for what it is 🤷♀️. Price: $17 - 🥟 Pierogi ze Skrzydełkami (Smoked Chicken Wings, Pickled Verde, Birchrun Bleu): I couldn’t taste the chicken at all—I was confused the whole time I was eating it 😂. Felt like the other flavors totally overpowered the chicken. Price: $17 Quick Notes We weren’t super hungry for dinner, so splitting these three appetizers was more than enough to fill us up! Pro tip: The menu’s heavy on carbs and meat, so portions are surprisingly filling—no need to overorder 🥘. Final thought: It’s probably not worth a special trip, but if you’re curious about Polish cuisine and happen to be in the area, it’s a decent spot to try something new 🇵🇱! #Philadelphia #PhillyFood #PhillyEats #FoodDiary #PhillyLife #RestaurantHopping #FoodieAdventures #FoodieGram #PolishFoodPhilly
