Philadelphia|Little Water – A Romantic, Special-Occasion Spot 💫

For our 9th anniversary, we chose Little Water in Philly to celebrate. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely — they prepared a sweet handwritten card signed by the whole team and even gifted us champagne 🥂. The whole experience felt warm, thoughtful, and full of special touches. 🐟 Little Water 📍 261 S 20th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 💰 Around $100+ per person But when it comes to the food… my feelings are a bit mixed. We ordered some of the priciest items on the menu: 🦪 Grand Plateau ($125) – A seafood tower (basically all the appetizers), including oysters, shrimp, lobster, snow crab legs, and scallops. Freshness was just okay — oysters were a bit fishy, shrimp and crab were average. The highlight was the Raw New Jersey Scallops — the sauce was delicate and refined, almost Michelin-level. 🥠 Caviar Service + Hushpuppies, Ricotta ($90) – The caviar wasn’t fishy, but it was very mild, mostly about the presentation. 🐟 Whole Fried Black Bass ($75) – Their signature fried fish — crispy skin, but the fish itself was a bit overcooked. The flavors had an Asian fusion twist. Overall, the service and vibe were top-notch — great for anniversaries, dates, or special occasions. But purely from a “food” perspective, the experience didn’t quite match the price tag ($400+ for two). If you’re looking for atmosphere, thoughtful service, and a memorable experience, Little Water is a lovely choice. But if you’re going mainly for standout food, you might leave a little disappointed. #100RestaurantsChallenge #Philadelphia #PhillyFood #DateNightSpot #PhillyArea 🥂
