Owned by the same group as Butcher and Singer, but a sweet older server quietly told us the quality and taste here are even better! Compared to the super-hard-to-book Alpen Rose, Barclay Prime has a more classic, traditional steakhouse vibe (Alpen Rose is more modern and trendy). But when it comes to taste — Barclay Prime wins hands down! 🌟 Appetizers 🍞 Complimentary Bread – The best I’ve had anywhere! Crispy outside, soft and fragrant inside, served with house-made whipped butter 🧈 — light and addictive. 🍤 Seared Diver Scallops – Tender and delicious. Highly recommend! 🦞 Lobster Bisque – A bit too salty, just okay. 🍝 Shrimp Tagliatelle – From the chef’s daily specials — so good! 🌟 Mains & Steaks 🍖 Rack of Lamb – Cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. 🥩 American Wagyu Ribeye Cap – They offer a wide selection of dry-aged steaks. The American Wagyu is my go-to — perfect balance of fat and lean, bursting with buttery richness in every bite. Japanese A5 is pricier and can be too fatty/rich for some. Recommended doneness: Medium rare. 🥩 Filet Mignon – Compared to the rich Wagyu, this lean cut offers a different kind of tenderness and flavor! Also best medium rare. 🌟 Sides 🦆 Foie Gras – Served as a side, added to your main — delicious! 🥔 Truffle Whipped Potatoes – A must-order!
