š£ Philadelphiaļ½This Chirashi Bowl at Izakaya Is Insane!
Wanted to try their Omakase but couldnāt get a reservation š So we walked in early at 5:30 PM ā got seated after a short wait, pretty lucky! We ordered the Royal Chirashi, and when it arrived ā the portion was jaw-dropping! So much going on, didnāt know where to start. Inside: 1ļøā£ Salmon, tuna, white fish, scallops, squid, sweet shrimp ā thick-cut, super fresh (some of the freshest sashimi in Philly! Though the white fish had a slight fishy note) 2ļøā£ Uni (sea urchin) ā generous amount, noticeably sweet Ikura (salmon roe) ā perfectly salty, amazing with rice (tons of it!) 3ļøā£ Tamago (egg omelet) ā soft, slightly sweet, surprisingly delicious 4ļøā£ Osetra Caviar ā yes, actual caviar, and plenty of it! 5ļøā£ Sushi rice at the bottom ā well-seasoned, slightly tangy Overall: visually extravagant, flavor-wise solid. If you canāt snag an Omakase spot, this bowl wonāt disappoint. $160, and two of us couldnāt finish it š¤·. (P.S. Their potato salad is also amazing!) š Royal Sushi & Izakaya (Philadelphia) ā° Tip: Try walking in around 5:30 PM for a better chance at seating š£ Must-order: Royal Chirashi #PhillyEats #ChirashiBowl #IzakayaPhilly #JapaneseFood #SashimiLover #FreshFish
