Philadelphia | 2 Days & 1 Night City Walk

šŸ“ Reading Terminal Market: The highly recommended cheesesteak here is huge and super affordable—definitely worth trying if you’re hungry after walking! 🄩 šŸ“ Philadelphia City Hall: Inside the City Hall, there’s a real-time projection exhibit where you can see views from other countries and interact with the display. It’s a fun, unexpected techy touch in this historic building šŸŒ. šŸ“ Independence Hall: I brought a $100 bill to take a photo here (since the hall is on the back of the bill!)—such a classic photo op! šŸ’µ Note that you need to buy a ticket to visit the interior. šŸ“ Liberty Bell: It’s right next to Independence Hall, and admission is free—but you might have to wait in line. The exhibit hall is small: the first part has historical displays, and the Liberty Bell is at the end. Expect to wait about 15 minutes for a 5-minute visit ā³. šŸ“ Franklin Fountain: It’s another popular spot— I tried three flavors: peach, rum raisin, and green tea. They were good, but not amazing—solid ice cream, just not a total wow factor šŸ¦. šŸ“ Franklin Bridge + Franklin Square: Next to Franklin Bridge, Franklin Square has a small fountain and a carousel. It’s a cute spot to relax for a bit after exploring busier attractions šŸŽ . šŸ“ University of Pennsylvania (UPenn): HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This was my favorite spot in all of Philadelphia. As a student living in New York, I couldn’t help but feel a little jealous 😭. The campus is huge, and it’s gorgeous on a sunny day ā˜€ļø. It’s home to the famous Wharton School, and you could easily spend an entire afternoon wandering around. šŸ“ Lin Huiyin’s Former Residence: Now it’s a two-story bookstore, filled mostly with used books. The owner is a sweet elderly white lady—she was so friendly and welcoming šŸ“š. šŸ“ Banana Leaf: A Malaysian restaurant in Chinatown. Paying with cash gets you a slight discount, but they have a mandatory tip policy (they won’t give change back for tips). The average cost per person is around $30 including the tip šŸœ. #InternationalStudentFoodie #PhiladelphiaTravel
