Philadelphia | 2 Days & 1 Night City Walk
š Reading Terminal Market: The highly recommended cheesesteak here is huge and super affordableādefinitely worth trying if youāre hungry after walking! š„© š Philadelphia City Hall: Inside the City Hall, thereās a real-time projection exhibit where you can see views from other countries and interact with the display. Itās a fun, unexpected techy touch in this historic building š. š Independence Hall: I brought a $100 bill to take a photo here (since the hall is on the back of the bill!)āsuch a classic photo op! šµ Note that you need to buy a ticket to visit the interior. š Liberty Bell: Itās right next to Independence Hall, and admission is freeābut you might have to wait in line. The exhibit hall is small: the first part has historical displays, and the Liberty Bell is at the end. Expect to wait about 15 minutes for a 5-minute visit ā³. š Franklin Fountain: Itās another popular spotā I tried three flavors: peach, rum raisin, and green tea. They were good, but not amazingāsolid ice cream, just not a total wow factor š¦. š Franklin Bridge + Franklin Square: Next to Franklin Bridge, Franklin Square has a small fountain and a carousel. Itās a cute spot to relax for a bit after exploring busier attractions š . š University of Pennsylvania (UPenn): HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This was my favorite spot in all of Philadelphia. As a student living in New York, I couldnāt help but feel a little jealous š. The campus is huge, and itās gorgeous on a sunny day āļø. Itās home to the famous Wharton School, and you could easily spend an entire afternoon wandering around. š Lin Huiyinās Former Residence: Now itās a two-story bookstore, filled mostly with used books. The owner is a sweet elderly white ladyāshe was so friendly and welcoming š. š Banana Leaf: A Malaysian restaurant in Chinatown. Paying with cash gets you a slight discount, but they have a mandatory tip policy (they wonāt give change back for tips). The average cost per person is around $30 including the tip š. #InternationalStudentFoodie #PhiladelphiaTravel
