Philadelphia | Another day of being amazed by the appetizers
In Philadelphia, appetizers really seem to outshine the main courses! Maybe I'll just stick to ordering appetizers from now on. Hahaπ½οΈ π₯ Chicken Liver Toast: It's truly amazing! The liver pΓ’tΓ© is smooth and rich, paired with jam and crunchy nuts. The combination of salty, savory, and sweet flavors is so good that you'll close your eyes in delight. This is the best chicken liver toast I've ever had! π Fried Mushrooms: They have that "upscale night market snack" vibe. The outside is crispy while the inside is tender, and the dipping sauce is delicious. Before I knew it, I had eaten them all. π¦ Duck Leg / Duck Breast Main Courses: I ordered both versions of duck. The leg was way too salty! Maybe it was marinated for too long, but they were kind enough to replace it when I mentioned it. My friend liked the breast, but I could taste that distinct "ducky" flavor, which I'm not a fan of. Haha. But a lot of people do recommend it, so maybe it varies depending on the day. π¦ͺ Scallops Main Course: This was the most enjoyable main course. The scallops were tender, and the side dishes were abundant, but they still couldn't outshine the appetizers. Haha π° Dessert (Paris-Brest): Crispy and fragrant, with a candle on top for added ambiance! When I mentioned it was my friend's birthday, they even added a candle. π π Address: 135 S 18th St, Philadelphia π° Average Price: Around $80+ per person π‘ I kind of regret not coming during Restaurant Week. π© #PhiladelphiaFood #RestaurantHuntingInPhiladelphia #PhiladelphiaLife #PhiladelphiaDateRestaurant #Philadelphia
