🏆 Philadelphia | Best Fried Oysters in Town 🦪

I’m so glad humans domesticated oysters and came up with countless delicious ways to enjoy them. Compared to eating them raw, I’m a bigger fan of fried oysters. The double texture—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—is like a caramelized top on a piece of pudding! 📍 Lee How Fook in Philadelphia’s Chinatown, right next to mamangomango. I’ve been here five times this semester just for their fried oysters... I might actually fly back to Philadelphia just for another bite! 🦪 The oysters are coated in a crispy, fragrant shell. When you take a bite, it feels like the undersea world is waving at you. The oysters inside are huge. No matter which season you visit, you’ll always get the freshest and largest oysters. Paired with a sweet and sour sauce, I know you want to try it too! The other dishes are pretty standard, but their oysters with the special sauce are like cheating—they’re just that good. You have to order them when you’re there. It would be a shame not to try each one of these 🦪 that was caught and danced in the fryer! Xo Shrimp Noodles - Absolutely delicious! The sauce clings perfectly to the noodles, giving every strand a rich flavor, and the shrimp are tender and bouncy. Interestingly, the well-coated noodles I had in Mel might have taken a cue from Italian pasta-tossing techniques. #WorthTravelingForFood #WildFoodGuide #PhillyFood
