Philadelphia | Cozy Seafood Bistro Little
❤️Initially, I planned to visit My Loup, but the long queue made me change my mind. While wandering nearby, I stumbled upon a charming restaurant with a great vibe. Without doing any research, I decided to give it a shot—and it turned out to be a fantastic surprise! Since I arrived late, the only available seats were at the bar. On the bright side, I got to watch the entire process of preparing their signature dishes. 1️⃣ Tuna⭐️ Everyone must try this! The combination of Piquillo peppers, shiso, and black olives is simply perfect. There’s no greasy or fishy taste from the raw fish. This is the kind of dish I’d want to eat every day if it were available at my doorstep! 2️⃣ Shrimp and Oyster Platter⭐️ The seafood platter is a must-order, and the shrimp cocktail and oyster combination is highly recommended. From my seat at the bar, I watched at least 30 servings being prepared. The oysters come with a homemade red sauce served in a dropper bottle—hopefully, this won’t trigger any lab-related PTSD for my fellow students. The shrimp cocktail’s sauce includes horseradish that’s clearly freshly grated, with a perfect blend of juices and smoked tomato sauce, giving it just the right amount of spiciness. This has definitely raised my expectations for shrimp cocktails. 3️⃣ Lobster Toast⭐️ The lobster is generous and very bouncy. At first glance, it seems like a Cantonese-style ginger and scallion preparation. However, the addition of Vin Jaune (yellow wine) gives it a unique flavor, making it feel like a fusion dish. That said, I’m a bit puzzled by the decision to serve it on toast—it feels a bit top-heavy. #GlobalVillageFoodieContest #LifeInNorthAmerica #AmericasCarnivalCorner #StudentLife
