Philadelphia | Friday Saturday Sunday 🎞️
Came across an open reservation for Fri Sat Sun and booked it right away—finally checked off the last untried Michelin-starred spot in Philly! 📜 Tonight’s Menu: 🍢 Seasonal Bites Hokkaido scallop – a safe choice, decent but not memorable. One crispy bite was tasty but the shell was too hard, almost plasticky. The other bite… honestly can’t recall it at all. 🥚 Eggs and Caviar Broth was flavorful, ingredients worked well together, but nothing surprising. Not bad, not outstanding. 🍝 Fusili (lobster + scallop) Sounded unusual but wasn’t bad at all. The real star was the pairing sake—it lifted the umami-rich sauce and took the dish to another level. 🍞 Sweetbreads (mushroom + plantain) After eating: “What did I just have?” No strong flavor memory, overall a bit bland. 🐟 Fish Classic fine-dining fish preparation—perfectly cooked, good texture, but no wow factor. 🐷 Pig A few fried pork pieces with greens and seasoned rice. Quite salty, portion was small, and I left half of it uneaten. 🐂 Grilled Short Rib ‼️‼️‼️ This dish saved the entire menu! Lightly charred and smoky on the outside, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Possibly the best short rib I’ve had in a while 🥩 🍧 Duck Egg Semifreddo Then came dessert—all three desserts were delicious. Honestly, they were better than most of the main courses! 🍷 Wine Pairing Notes The sake with the pasta was a standout pairing, elevating the dish. The Rioja Tempranillo with the short rib was also a perfect match. Note: They don’t provide a printed pairing list—you have to email for details. 🍴 Friday Saturday Sunday 📍 261 S 21st St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 💰 Tasting menu $195 per person | Wine pairing $125 #PhiladelphiaEats #MichelinStar #PhillyFineDining #DateNight #FoodieAdventure
