Philadelphia | Tabachoy โ€” This Filipino Meal Was Absolutely Satisfying

๐ŸŒŸ Tabachoy 932 S 10th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147 Finally tried this Cambodian-Filipino spot named one of Phillyโ€™s 76 Best Restaurants by the New York Times! ๐Ÿง† Starter Sampler โ€“ Perfect for first-timers who want to try a bit of everything! The tangy salad was refreshing, the pork spring rolls crispy and fragrant, and the fried chicken was spot-on โ€” lightly crispy outside, juicy inside. My favorite of the three? Definitely the fried chicken! $29 ๐Ÿฅ— South Philly Laing โ€“ Taro leaves in coconut milk โ€” unexpectedly delicious! Even as someone who doesnโ€™t usually love taro leaves, I finished most of it. The broth was perfect with noodles or rice. $15 ๐Ÿ Pancit Tabachoy โ€“ Every dish was good, but this noodle dish stood out even more! The seasoning had a unique, aromatic flavor with an unfamiliar but lovely spice. The egg noodles had a perfect texture โ€” Iโ€™d buy them to cook at home if I could! $16 ๐Ÿ– Pork Sisig โ€“ The dish I was most excited for, but it was a bit too salty. Served with garlic rice (garlic was slightly bitter, rice was also salty), so plain rice might have been better. A small portion is plenty for two. $23 (small) ๐Ÿฎ Pandan Basque Cheesecake โ€“ Took it to-go, came with coconut syrup to drizzle. Pretty good! $11 ๐Ÿ“… If you want a weekend dinner reservation (not at the bar), book at least two weeks in advance! ๐Ÿ…ฟ๏ธ Street parking. Free on Sundays. #100RestaurantsChallenge #DinnerTonight #Philadelphia #PhillyFood #PhillyEats #FoodDiaries
