Philadelphia | Trying the Famous Beef Wellington at Alpen Rose 🥩
I’d heard for a while about a Philly restaurant famous for its Beef Wellington, and finally got to try it! The place feels mysterious — no sign outside, just a rose emblem. You ring the bell, and someone checks through a small window if you have a reservation. Inside, the decor gives off elegant castle vibes! It's cozy and not too loud, maybe because it was my birthday, we lucked out with a spacious booth for six — super comfy. 🦪 Oyster Rockefeller Baked oysters topped with scallions, fried garlic, and other herbs — lots of lemon and cheese flavor, but you can still taste the fresh oyster underneath. 🥩 Grass Fed Filet (8oz) Small but packed with a delicious charred aroma. A bit salty for my taste, but still enjoyable. 🌟 Beef Wellington The star of the show! The pastry was crispy and buttery, layered with mushrooms and ham for extra texture. The beef was tender and juicy — we ordered medium rare, and it was perfect. 🍸 Cocktails We tried No. 76 and 112 — both were refreshing and well-balanced. Overall, a great experience — I’d definitely come back! #Philadelphia #PhillyLife #PhillyArea #PhillyFood #StudyInPhilly #PhillyEats #BeefWellington
