Philadelphia | What’s the Deal with This Controversial Buffet Now?
TLDR: Lobster quality remains consistent. Recommended dishes to try are listed below. Service has slightly improved (e.g., added birthday balloons). Prices remain unchanged at $38.99. The food line isn’t as long as before. I’ve seen quite a few controversial posts since Junhao first opened. I initially followed the trend and tried it out, and now I visit about every two to three months. There aren’t many strong competitors in this niche in Philadelphia, and over the past six months or so, I’ve noticed Junhao making improvements. I’ve been there four times in total, and the overall experience has been good. Here are a few highlights worth trying: 🦞 Garlic and Ginger Stir-Fried Lobster: Still a standout dish. The taste is quite similar to the fresh lobsters I’ve bought from Hengfa. The restocking is timely, and they don’t just replenish with the less desirable parts. There’s plenty of tail and body meat. As a southerner, I really enjoy the garlic and ginger stir-fry method, and Junhao’s version is consistently good (though some people still report occasionally finding foreign objects). The flavor is just right, with a perfect balance of freshness, garlic, and ginger! 📝 Service: 1️⃣ A pleasant surprise this time at Junhao was the addition of take-home birthday number balloons, in addition to the typical musical celebration. The guests celebrating birthdays at the neighboring table looked really happy, and the atmosphere was great! 2️⃣ The dining area is kept clean, with dedicated staff frequently tidying up tables and floors. 3️⃣ The efficiency of clearing tables has improved. 📍 2743 S 3rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19148 #GlobalVillageFoodieContest #GlobalVillage #AmericasCarnivalCorner #LifeAbroad #LifeInNorthAmerica
