Philadelphia Filipino Cuisine | Perlaโ€™s Kamayan Feast ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿš

I finally visited Perla last week, a Filipino restaurant that had been on my Google list for two months. The restaurant specializes in modern Filipino flavors, with a cozy and slightly upscale atmosphere, perfect for a gathering with good friends. They offer a Set Kamayan Menu at $50 per person. When the dishes arrive, itโ€™s truly spectacularโ€”a whole leaf is laid out on the table, covered with an array of foods, offering a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds! ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿฝ Kamayan Feast | An Abundant Menu ๐Ÿ“Œ Sinangag | Garlic Fried Rice ๐Ÿš This classic Filipino fried rice has distinct grains, infused with a rich garlic aroma. It pairs perfectly with various meat dishes! ๐Ÿ“Œ Chicken Inasal | Lemongrass Grilled Chicken ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ”ฅ The chicken is marinated to perfection, with flavors of lemongrass, annatto seeds, vinegar, and soy sauce. The skin is slightly charred, while the meat is incredibly tender. Itโ€™s delicious on its own, but even better with a dip in the sauce! ๐Ÿ“Œ Fried Pork | Crispy Pork ๐Ÿทโœจ You can choose between Lechon Kawali (fried suckling pig) or Crispy Pata (fried pork knuckles). We went with Crispy Pata, which had golden, crispy skin and tender, juicy meat inside. Dipped in vinegar and garlic sauce, itโ€™s heavenly! ๐Ÿ“Œ Lumpia | Filipino Spring Rolls ๐ŸฅŸ The filling consists of pork, carrots, mushrooms, onions, and ginger. The wrapper is fried to be ultra-thin and crispy. When you bite into it, you get a burst of savory meat, which pairs perfectly with sweet and spicy sauce. ๐Ÿ“Œ Whole Fried Pompano | Fried Pompano Fish ๐ŸŸ The MVP of the meal! The whole fish is fried to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The fish meat is delicate and not dry, with a slight charred aroma. Paired with a special sauce, itโ€™s incredibly refreshing! ๐Ÿ“Œ Ginataan | Coconut Stew ๐Ÿฅฆ This dish is truly delicious! Eggplants, long beans, cauliflower, pumpkin, and zucchini are simmered in a rich coconut milk. The flavors are mild and sweet, making it a perfect accompaniment to the fried pork or fried rice, and it cuts through the richness beautifully! #Philadelphia #PhiladelphiaRestaurants #PhiladelphiaLife #ExploringRestaurants #PhiladelphiaFood #RestaurantRecommendation
