Philadelphia Foodies, Head to Mabu Kitchen for the Grilled Duck Legs!
๐ Mabu Kitchen 1120 Pine St, Philadelphia, PA 19107 ๐ Grilled Octopus: The potatoes and octopus dish is irresistible and a favorite of my family. They even cleaned the sauce! $15 ๐ Buratta Wild Mushroom Toast: This is my favorite appetizer! The mushrooms are likely king oyster mushrooms, which are very juicy. The buratta is sweetly seasoned, making the overall taste fantastic. $16 ๐ฆ Seared Duck Leg Confit: If you love duck, this is a must-try. The duck leg has a Chinese flavor and the skin is not greasy, which I prefer. The edamame and asparagus inside are tender, and the sweet potato puree adds a smooth finish. $28 Curry Shrimp & Grits: The shrimp and grits dish is slightly tangy, so those who are sensitive to sourness should be cautious. Personally, I love it, but the duck leg is even better. $23 ๐ฅฎ Banana Pudding: It has a texture similar to banana cream, which is sweet but acceptable. $9 The dining experience before the bill was 95 points. I deducted 5 points for the slow service. The experience dropped to 85 points when paying. I noted my birthday in the reservation, and after finishing dessert, the waiter brought a mini candle by hand. I was initially confused and then speechless as I held the candle. I understand that the banana pudding is too soft to hold a candle, but not providing any support is bizarre. #WeekendEating #DinnerTonight #Philadelphia #PhillyFood #PhillyExploration
