Philadelphia Hidden Gem Italian Restaurant | Melograno ๐
Met up with a long-time-no-see friend here on Saturday for a cozy catch-up. Arrived before 6 PM โ not too crowded yet. The lighting is dim and warm, giving off such a lovely, intimate vibe โจ. We ordered four dishes for two people: Appetizer: ๐ง Burrata โ $15 Fried outer layer is super crispy โ delicious! Mains: ๐ Tartufate (Black Truffle & Walnut Pasta) โ $20 Came here for this pasta and it did not disappoint! The umami of black truffle and nuttiness of walnuts blend perfectly. The wide noodles are wonderfully chewy, and the portion is generous (hard to tell from the pic!). ๐ฅฉ Agnello (Lamb Chops) โ $29 Another pleasant surprise! Has a slight lamb taste but very mild and enjoyable. The lamb is incredibly tender, and the sides โ veggies and blueberry sauce โ are unique and tasty. Only downside: portion is a bit small โ couldโve eaten more! Dessert: ๐ฎ Tiramisu โ $9 How can you visit an Italian restaurant without ordering tiramisu? Even after having it many times, this one really impressed me โ super creamy, rich, and not overly sweet. Great portion for the price โ must-order! ๐ท Note: This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) spot โ they donโt serve alcohol or drinks. Theyโre open for dinner only and quite popular, so reservations via OpenTable are recommended. ๐ด Restaurant: Melograno ๐ 2012 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 #HiddenGem #CozySpot #FoodExploration #DateNightSpot #WeekendEats #Philadelphia
