Philadelphia Italian Restaurant | Gran Caffè L’Aquila 🇮🇹✨
I’ve always been drawn to this place’s gorgeous decor and cozy atmosphere, and finally got to try it! Honestly, it’s the best Italian food I’ve had in Philly so far 👍. The servers were super friendly — they shared the restaurant’s history and gave great recommendations! We ordered two appetizers, two mains, one gelato, and three coffees — total came to around $60 per person including tip. ☕ Iced Latte – Exceptionally smooth and rich! They offer four coffee blends — we chose the signature medium roast. Even as a coffee newbie, I loved it so much we ordered one to go! 🦐 Fritto Misto – Fried calamari, shrimp, and zucchini. Crispy and delicious with a tangy tomato-based dipping sauce. 👍 🐙 Polipo (Octopus) – Just okay. The texture was quite soft rather than pleasantly chewy — maybe it’s the preparation or the ingredient itself. 🍄 Agnolotti – Meat-filled ravioli with a strong truffle flavor — a must-try for truffle lovers! 🐟 Cannelloni di Pesce – Soft pasta rolls stuffed with five kinds of seafood in tomato sauce — so tasty and highly recommended! 🍨 Gelato – They offer 24 flavors, but it’s on the sweeter side. The yogurt flavor was nice, though it didn’t quite beat the amazing gelato I had in Maine. Still enjoyable though! Overall, a wonderful dining experience — highly recommend to anyone in or visiting Philly! #PhillyFood #PhillyArea #PhillyLife #Pennsylvania #StudyInUSA #LifeInTheUSA #FoodReview
