Philadelphia Spanish Tapas: Amada | Not a Single Dish Disappointed
šŖšø Tapas are a crucial part of Spanish cuisine, referring to small appetizers served before the main course. Each plate is petite, and they pair perfectly with drinks š¹! š¦ Near Old City in Philadelphia, thereās an amazing Spanish restaurant called Amada. I originally went for their Spanish paella and pork cheek, but unfortunately, neither was available that day. So I tried a bunch of tapas insteadāand they were surprisingly delicious š! GAMBAS AL AJILLO (Garlic Shrimp) Rich garlic flavor! Soak a piece of dried bread in the sauce and pair it with a shrimp š¦āthe slightly spicy sauce makes it even more tasty! PULPO (Octopus) Octopus with potatoesādonāt forget to squeeze lemon juice! Itās a little salty, but the octopus is super tender. VIEIRAS (Scallop) Highly recommended! The sauce is unique and not greasy at allāso delicious! Lamb Chop This is the best lamb chop Iāve had, second only to the ones I marinate with Liu Po (a Chinese spice mix) myself. The sauce is also amazing, and the meat is incredibly tender and juicy. In terms of texture, mine canāt compare to this! Chocolate Puff I even got to try a Spanish-style ādirty puffā! There are four mini puffs per servingāI had two, and they werenāt greasy at all. This is also a must-order! š Address: Amada 217-219 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19106 #Philadelphia #HiddenGemRestaurantShare
