Celebrity-frequented (Ed Sheeran among others!) — service here is exceptional. Some desserts and drinks aren’t on the menu; servers will explain everything. This place has the strictest business casual dress code I’ve encountered so far. Lighting is dim as Alpen Rose — stepping outside at 6:30 PM felt blinding! 🍞 Bread – Weirdly shaped but amazing — smells like egg cake when torn open. Crispy shell, soft inside with a subtle scallion aroma. 🦞 Lobster Bisque – Wildly unexpected! First sip was shockingly sour with a slightly bitter finish, plus an untamed herbal note. Confusingly addictive — kept going back for more even though I wasn’t sure if I liked it. 🦀 Crab Cake – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend! Better than Oyster House’s — crispy outside, tender crab inside, hints of parsley/celery leaf, with lemon aioli cutting through richness. 🥩 Ribeye – Unfortunately, charred to bitterness (some may like that). Good meat but leaner than expected. Added foie gras (undercooked, almost soupy inside) and bone marrow (salty, oily, heavy) — order with caution. 🍍 Pineapple Rum Ice Cream – Very sweet, strong pineapple, no detectable rum. Served with a caramel cookie. Note: They thought it was my birthday (??) and brought a candle — I was so confused! Server kindly gave me a single scoop on the house since I was full 🥺. 🍰 Pecan Cheesecake – Not too sweet to me (though most students might find it sweet).
