Philadelphia Suburbs|A Charming French Brunch Spot Discovered
Last week while passing through Chestnut Hill, I was drawn to the lovely outdoor patio of Matines Café — small, cozy, perfect for a leisurely brunch on a nice day. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing. We ordered three dishes — each was really good: 🧇 Belgian Waffle with Strawberry & Cream – Crispy outside, soft inside, not too sweet. Paired perfectly with strawberries and cream. 🥑 Smashed Avocado Tartine – Classic avocado toast, fresh and light. 🍄 Mushroom Soup – Rich and flavorful, with wonderful depth. So satisfying! Their bakery items are also delicious, and the regulars here seem to be mostly sweet local grandpas and grandmas. If you love quiet, French-inspired brunch spots, this is definitely worth trying! 🍽️ Matines Cafe 📍 89 Bethlehem Pike, Philadelphia, PA 19118 💰 ~$20–30 per person #HiddenGem #PhillyEats #FrenchBrunch #ChestnutHill #BrunchSpot #CozyCafe 🥐
