Philadelphia Suburbs|Mediterranean Restaurant Recommendation|Oba 🫓
Recently explored towns around Philly and stumbled upon Oba Mediterranean Grill, a Turkish-Mediterranean spot about 15 minutes from the city in Collingswood, NJ. This was our first time trying Turkish cuisine — and we were seriously impressed! The decor is simple, warm, and refreshingly Mediterranean — colors that make you feel relaxed. Staff were super friendly, patiently explaining the menu (though their accent was thick 😄) and recommending signature dishes.👍😁 Outside, they hang beautiful blue circular plates — a traditional charm to ward off bad luck from their homeland. 🍽️ What we ordered: 1️⃣ Falafel – $10.95 Crispy outside, tender inside, served with a special sauce — savory with a fresh twist. Surprisingly filling! 2️⃣ Fried Calamari – $15.95 Tender, not fishy at all, lightly battered and perfect with tangy dipping sauce — addictive! 3️⃣ Beef Shish Kebab – $28.95 The star of the meal! Juicy, well-spiced beef skewers served with uniquely flavored rice and fresh veggies — so satisfying! They start you off with freshly baked flatbread and homemade dips. Three dishes came to less than $40 per person — great value for the quality! 📍 Oba Mediterranean Grill 563 Haddon Ave, Collingswood, NJ 08108 #PhillyEats #MediterraneanFood #TurkishCuisine #ObaGrill #CollingswoodNJ #HiddenGem
