Philadelphia Treasure - Jing Guan Northeastern Cuisine

The boss has rolled out a new dish! ✨ Ginger Scallion Crisp Grass Carp Served on a bed of cabbage, the grass carp is tender, crispy, and full of flavor. Topped with shredded ginger and scallions, the dish boasts rich layers of color, and the carrot garnish adds the perfect finishing touch. Gotta say, the boss’s aesthetic is absolutely on point! 👌 The boss is an authentic chef from Shenyang, Northeast China, with multiple awards under his belt. 🥇 The restaurant is filled with the warmth of home: the lucky bamboo on the tables, the tea sets, and the classic Northeastern tunes playing in the background make you feel like you’ve traveled back in time. There are also many hidden menu items waiting to be discovered! Northeastern Big Skin Salad (Must-try!): Freshly tossed chewy noodles with shredded carrots, cucumbers, shrimp, and minced meat, drizzled with sesame sauce. One bite, and the aroma explodes in your mouth—just writing about it makes me drool! 🤤 Sauerkraut with Pork Belly: Finally understood the meaning of "homemade"! The sauerkraut truly tastes like the one from back home. When I was little, my grandma would pickle a whole barrel of sauerkraut every winter! The sourness is so appetizing, paired with glass noodles and pork, and the broth is so flavorful you won’t want to stop. Sweet and Sour Pork (Guo Bao Rou): The signature Northeastern dish! The sweet and sour seasoning is perfectly balanced, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Just looking at the picture makes me want to take a bite. Beijing-Style Shredded Pork (Jing Jiang Rou Si): Shredded pork with scallions wrapped in dried tofu skin—not greasy and perfect with rice. Even a true Beijing native would approve! Sauerkraut Dumplings 🥟: The filling is perfectly seasoned, freshly wrapped, boiled, and served. Everyone who tries them says they’re incredibly fragrant! The Fried Noodles with Soybean Paste, Couple’s Beef Tripe, and Stewed Chicken with Mushrooms are also delicious. 😋 When the boss finds out you’re a fellow Northeasterner, he always treats you to extra dishes, like sauerkraut buns, making sure you never leave empty-handed. I truly adore this Northeastern warmth and the genuine connection between people. Whenever I miss home, I come here to eat!
