Philly | Hearty & Delicious Italian Food ๐๐ท
Was scrolling through old food pics and got hungry again remembering this Italian spot from a friend's birthday dinner. Really tasty โ my favorite was P1: Duck Confit ๐ฆ โ crispy skin without being greasy, tender and flavorful meat, served with slightly sweet mashed sweet potatoes and peas. Perfect texture combo (and Iโm a sweet potato mash lover ๐ซฐ). The portion was generous and fairly priced. ๐ Grilled Octopus โ a common dish, but definitely above average here with great seasoning. ๐ฆ Seafood Pasta โ loaded with around 7โ8 large fresh shrimp! Pasta had a nice chew, and the cream sauce was rich but not heavy. ๐ Milanese Pork Chop โ fairly standard in taste, but the portion was HUGE โ even three of us couldn't finish it. Lemon and arugula helped cut through, though the meat wasn't the most tender and the frying could have been crispier. Overall, this place is worth a try โ these dishes are on the dinner menu (lunch is brunch-style). The street it's on is quiet and lovely for a little city walk ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐. After dinner, we strolled to Vita for gelato โ and wow, what a happy surprise! ๐จ Both the passionfruit and pistachio flavors were incredible, and servings were huge. Definitely stop by if you pass and there's no line! ๐ Mabu Kitchen #PhillyEats #ItalianFoodPhilly #PhillyRestaurants #PhillyFoodScene #HiddenGem
