Philly | Michelin-Starred Friday Saturday Sunday ⭐
Randomly noticed Friday Saturday Sunday was on OpenTable’s CSR $150 back offer, so we grabbed the chance to try it. In one word: it lives up to the hype! 🥧 Seasonal Snack — Three small bites. Loved the trout tarte most. Hokkaido scallop was a bit tangy, and the little ball tasted oddly… Chinese-inspired? 🥚 Egg, Truffle, Caviar — A thin layer of sweet steamed egg topped with rich but perfectly balanced sauce. Layers upon layers of flavor — indescribably delicious! 🦑 Squid Ink Pasta — Dish of the day! Looked humble but packed explosive seafood flavor, with razor clam slices and every strand coated in lobster sauce. Wanted more after it was gone. 🐟 Halibut (no pic) — Tied for first place! Fish was tender, almost custardy inside. Coconut milk-based white sauce complemented the mild halibut perfectly. The bread served with it was incredibly soft — we wiped the sauce clean. 🧠 Sweetbreads — First time trying calf thymus. Even fried and heavily seasoned, there was still a subtle glandular taste. Texture was soft and unique — looked like kung pao chicken but definitely a new experience. 🍚 Pork Risotto — A touch of acidity kept it from feeling heavy. Crispy pork skin on top added great texture. 🥩 Grilled Short Rib — Sweet glaze, almost like Texas-style BBQ. Melt-in-your-mouth tender from slow cooking, though a bit rich. The bone broth served alongside was a refreshing cleanse. 🥭 Mango Tart — Filling was sweet, but they paired it with tangy mango sauce — together, perfectly balanced. 🧁 Canelé — Crispy shell, perfect honeycomb inside. Couldn’t resist even though we were stuffed — just a touch sweet. #MichelinStar #PhillyEats #FineDining #TastingMenu #FoodieHeaven #FridaySaturdaySunday
