Philly Food|New Year’s Roast Duck 🦆 A Meal Full of Festive Vibes!
Every now and then, I crave roast duck — so I’m back at JiangNan! Their half-duck portion is generous — easily makes 10+ wraps. I’d suggest ordering a whole duck only if you have 4+ people, otherwise you won’t have room for other dishes. Don’t forget to dip the crispy skin in sugar — that guilty pleasure is the soul of Beijing-style roast duck! Since it’s almost Chinese New Year, we tried some new dishes: 🧀 Cheese Ribs – Korean kalbijjim style, quite bold in flavor. Tasty, but maybe not a must-order here. 🎃 Salted Egg Yolk Pumpkin – I loved this! Savory, rich coating, crispy outside, soft inside. Besides duck, also recommend their classic eel noodles — sweet and sour, nostalgic like childhood New Year’s flavors 🧧. Another highlight at JiangNan: their pickles are amazing! Lightly fermented veggies in chili oil — more restaurants should take notes! Oh, and if you didn’t know — they have a $20 weekday lunch special (Monday–Thursday all day + Friday lunch) with one meat + one veggie dish — enough for two! Very solid deal if you’re nearby. 📍 JiangNan Philadelphia 927 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19107 #NewYearsFeast #FestiveDining #RoastDuck #WinterFood #PhillyEats #ChinatownPhilly 🥢🦆✨
