Philly Food | Fine Dining That Feels Inspired by Chinese Flavors π
A small restaurant by pasta master James Nardone β only a few tables, open for dinner WedβSat, sandwiches on Sunday. Not wildly hyped, but still book ahead due to the intimate space. They used to offer prix fixe only, but now Γ la carte makes it even more wallet-friendly. The menu changes often based on seasonal ingredients, so no specific dish recs β just go with friends and try a bit of everything. Check out what we ate that day β every dish was so palate-pleasing we wondered if the chef had studied in Asia (turns out no!). Translated into Asian-style names, our meal looked something like: π Sweet & sour beef ribs π₯ Wang Zhong Wang meatballs π Plum-infused tomatoes π¦ Scallion oil duck drumettes π Laksa-inspired pasta π½ Corn soft candy π₯― Cream puff π Crispy golden milk buns The quality ingredients and the chefβs heart came through in every bite β I finished a modern Italian meal feeling like Iβd just woken from a savory Chinese food dream π. Definitely worth returning β and donβt forget: BYOB! π· π Elma 431 E Girard Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125 #HiddenGem #Foodie #PhillyEats #PhillyLife #Philadelphia #Philly #StudyAbroad
