๐ Philly Restaurant Week Revisit: A.Kitchen+Bar
๐ a.kitchen+bar 135 S 18th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 We opted for the Restaurant Week dinner menu ($60 per person). This visit was so much better than last time โ the dishes suited our tastes perfectly! ๐โจ ๐ง Complimentary Cheese Puffs So fragrant and delicious โ a warm, cheesy welcome! ๐ง๐ฅ ๐ CRISPY OYSTER MUSHROOMS I tried these last October and loved them! (Note: not on the Restaurant Week menu โ must order separately.) They have a Chinese-inspired salt-and-pepper vibe โ so crispy and savory! ๐ถ๏ธ๐ ๐ CHICKEN LIVER TOAST First time trying chicken liver pรขtรฉ on toast โ surprisingly good! Smooth, slightly sweet, and not gamey at all. Loved it! ๐ฅโจ ๐ BLUEFIN TUNA Tuna crudo is common, but the version here with sweet potato purรฉe left the strongest impression โ delicate and delicious! ๐ ๐ ๐ STEELHEAD TROUT It was tasty, but Iโve had it too many times lately, so it didnโt wow me. Not a fan of the green lentils, though. ๐ฆ DUCK CONFIT Iโve yet to have a bad duck confit at a Western restaurant โ if you love duck, order this with confidence! ๐ฆโค๏ธ ๐ฅฏ HAZELNUT PARIS BREST Came here partly for this dessert!
