🎹 Piano Concert at Birmingham Symphony Hall 🏟😆

The Symphony Hall boasts a packed schedule of performances! 🎶 As a student, you can snag the best seats for just £5! 🎟️ I highly recommend the stalls areas on either side of the stage—not too crowded and super close to the action! 👀 The stars of this concert were: 🎼 Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla - Conductor, who was the first female Music Director of the CBSO. 🎹 Gabriela Montero - Piano. I first saw her debut performance on YouTube. Her playing style, in my opinion, is meticulous and serious, with an astonishing talent for live improvisation. She delivered some truly breathtaking improvised pieces at this concert!🌸 🌍Plus, I was absolutely blown away by the CBSO's orchestral accompaniment—it was like listening to a CD, but even better! The live orchestral sound was richer, more ethereal, and incredibly captivating. 🎻 Music lovers, you HAVE to experience this! 🎉 Just Google "B Music" for the performance schedule and ticket purchases. 💭 Rambling Divider - Classical music and I never really crossed paths growing up. 🥳 My three-minute attention span as a kid led me to quickly abandon piano lessons. 📸Looking back, it was probably because my fingers weren't nimble enough, I lacked the patience for repetitive practice, and without a "musical family" to push me, all my instrument learning attempts fizzled out. 🎹😅 But I've always loved music. In kindergarten, I'd hold up an old microphone and sing "Little Swallow" after hearing it just once. Later, I dove into the world of pop music—Chinese, K-pop, Western—you name it. 🎤 Back then, I thought pure instrumental music couldn't hold my attention; there wasn't enough to keep me engaged. 🌴💧The artist who truly introduced me to the world of pure instrumental music was Yiruma. Although Yanni had an early influence on me, Yiruma's piano compositions, with their subtle, calm, yet never dull emotions, accompanied me through many sleepless nights. I haven't listened to much pure instrumental music, but I deeply admire his compositional talent. 🎶 🥳Later, I started actively seeking out classic violin and cello pieces, learning to appreciate and understand the world of classical music. Though my memory isn't great—I can't recall names or scores—I can remember melodies and feel the emotions they convey. 🎻 Fortunately, since coming to Birmingham, I've had the chance to enjoy these audio-visual feasts up close. What attracts me even more is the foreign music atmosphere here; it helps me, someone prone to daily anxiety, to calm down and truly feel the music. ❤️ Whether it's the slightly amateurish student concerts at the University 🎶of Birmingham or the world-top-10 professional Birmingham City Symphony Orchestra (CBSO), it's not just the professionalism and dedication of the performers—whether they're seasoned artists or beginners—that inspire me, but also the enthusiasm and focus of the audience.🥳🎉 The moment I step into the venue, I'm moved by the elderly grandpas and grandmas beside me; their age can't dampen their passion and love for music. In this atmosphere, impatience and a desire for quick results temporarily leave me. I truly love this musical atmosphere and the version of myself that experiences it. 💖 #ClassicalInstruments #BirminghamSymphony #Concert 🎻🎶
