Pick Nha Trang for the Best Food and Fun on Your Vietnam Trip 🌊
Nha Trang is a bit like a mini Phuket, making it the most exciting and delicious stop on this Vietnam journey. While the weather in December is around 25°C, not ideal for swimming, and the underwater visibility for island trips isn't great, it's easy to imagine how much fun it would be during the peak travel season from May to October! 🎉☀️ Must-Visit Attractions: [Po Nagar Cham Towers] Nha Trang is clearly part of southern Vietnam, once part of the Champa Kingdom, which was influenced by Indian Hindu culture and distanced itself from Confucianism. You can also feel the strong French colonial influence here. The Po Nagar Cham Towers aren’t too large, but the exotic Hindu architecture is perfect for photos. 📸🏰 [Mud Bath] I tried two mud bath resorts, both offering unique experiences: i Resort, near Po Nagar Towers, which is the most recommended spot on social media. A resort on Hon Tam Island, part of the island-hopping tour. Mud baths are super unique and worth trying—essentially, it's a hot mud pool. They change the mud after each guest, so no worries about sharing with strangers. Public swimsuits are provided, but be aware that the women's suits don't have pads, so you might want to bring your own unless you're okay with washing it several times afterward. 😅👙 Differences: i Resort: Located in the city, so it's convenient to visit anytime. The mud bath is strictly timed at 20 minutes, with water temperature around 38°C. Afterward, you can soak in the warm mineral pool. Hon Tam Resort: Only available for those on an island tour. The mud bath here isn’t strictly timed, and the water temperature is hotter (around 50°C). The pool is more stylish, but the water is quite cold—tough to get into during the winter. 🛁🔥 [Island Hopping Tour] A group island-hopping day tour costs around 200 RMB per person, while a private tour for 4 people is about 400 RMB per person. The usual itinerary includes two snorkeling spots: Hon Mun and Hon Yen Islands, followed by either swimming or a mud bath on Hon Tam Island in the afternoon. 🌴🏝 In December, the weather wasn’t ideal, and for two consecutive days, there were sea warnings preventing trips to Hon Mun Island. When we finally made it, the visibility was really poor, and we could only catch glimpses of a family of clownfish to console ourselves. 🤿🐠 Given the colder season, I recommend the mud bath over snorkeling—the mud bath on Hon Tam Island is incredibly hot and soothing! 🔥 #Vietnam #VietnamTravel #NhaTrang #NhaTrangTrip #PoNagarTowers #NhaTrangFood
