A roundup from Christmas and New Year breaks～ All tried-and-true local favorites 💖 KLVN 💗 I still drop by every few months～ Love their pastel-meets-wooden aesthetic 🎨 Kinda gives off magical realism vibes ✨ Downside: It’s always loud and crowded 😅 Soluna 🇭🇳 (formerly Cafetano) Honduran flavors have arrived in Pittsburgh! Same owners as the mezcal bar and Mexican spot I posted before 🌮 By day: a café ☕️ | By night: a bar 🍹 Great for breakfast or lunch with friends—then hit the Strip District. Ideal weekend vibes～ Espresso A Mano 🤎 My go-to spot in Lawrenceville 🏆 Weekly visits—their beans are always top-notch. Drip coffee rotates regularly 🔄 Their lattes are the BEST—whole milk, soy, or oat, all delicious! Fun fact: The name is Italian for “hand to you” ✋️ Inkwell 💚 Another Lawrenceville fave, but totally different vibe. Espresso A Mano feels European (think people standing with espresso and dogs 🐕), while Inkwell is more classic American neighborhood café. Lots of young folks hanging out—some definitely recovering from last night 🥴 I often bring my Kindle, but it can get chatty. Still love it though! Also… their pastry game is improving! Cookies are yummy 🍪 DeFer 🧡 @ Strip District Visited during Christmas 🎄 All drinks could be “Made Christmas-y” (whipped cream + festive sprinkles), so my latte ended up looking like this! Also tried the chickpea quiche—so good! And grabbed a mushroom tea latte (winter special). Interesting, but I’d still recommend London Fog more 🌫️ Redstart Roaster 🐦 Still my top study/work spot—quiet and cozy 📚 Perfect for reading or getting stuff done.
