So surprised to find a rooftop bar in our town where you can enjoy the sunset glow~ We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Saturday. Since it’s summer, the sun sets late, and it was still pretty sunny at that time. But the upside was that it wasn’t crowded, so we could choose any spot we liked. We were pleasantly surprised—though the rooftop is only on the 5th or maybe 6th floor, the view from the indoor seating felt open and expansive (probably because the Lawrenceville area is relatively low-lying). We made it in time for Happy Hour, so we started with two HH specials—Montecastrillo, a floral and fruity wine 🍷 that I really liked. We also ordered some Hummus to snack on~ For the second round, I tried the Bourbon Firefly 🥃 OMG, so good, folks!! Possibly the best whiskey cocktail I’ve had this year! The lemon and pineapple were subtle, the honey wasn’t overly sweet, and the whiskey was smooth without being too strong—perfect for summer. It’s the kind of drink you’ll keep sipping thinking it’s just a refreshing beverage, but then it hits you out of nowhere—so be careful, girls! 😂 For food, we ordered two appetizers and one entrée: The tuna poke was just okay. The Fritto Misto (fried calamari + shrimp) was pretty tasty. The grilled salmon was nice too, though pairing it with rice felt a bit random 🤭 Since it had been a while since my friend and I caught up, we chatted nonstop. By the time we finished, it was already 7:30 PM—perfect timing to step out onto the rooftop to enjoy the breeze, sober up (and take photos, lol). We caught the entire sunset glow. The views of Northside and downtown were great!
