Pittsburgh Food Adventure 🔚 This Post is Only Valid for 3 Days 🥪

Another dedicated food spot is closing its doors 👋🏻 So sad to see another great eatery go... This diner/luncheonette in Bloomfield has been take-out only since COVID hit in 2020. This year, their hours were limited to Sat-Mon, 10 AM–1 PM. Business was actually pretty good, but they struggled with ingredient shortages and staffing issues. Running a small shop is tough, and the owner was under a lot of pressure. So in early April, they announced on Instagram that they’re closing. I went last Saturday for one final brunch~ Waited over an hour in the rain, but it was absolutely worth it!! Mandarin Ricotta Toast 🍊 House-made sourdough with ricotta and sweet, fresh mandarin oranges—not overly sweet! Topped with loads of crushed almonds for extra texture—loved it! Ham & Cheese, the Melt 🥪 This freshly grilled sandwich was SO GOOD!! Ham and melted cheese, with broccolini 🥦 inside! Served on their house sourdough, buttered and grilled with mayo until crispy—each bite was pure satisfaction!! Breakfast Salad 🥗 Not your average breakfast salad~ Sunny-side-up egg 🍳 + tender baby potatoes 🥔 + loads of walnuts and pumpkin seeds 🌰 + crispy Brussels sprouts + assorted fresh greens 🥬 Not sure what dressing they used, but it was flavorful yet light! Their donuts are also uniquely flavored, but they were sold out by the time I got to order 🥲 I’ve tried other sandwiches here before—never disappointed! Although I sometimes enjoy teasing foodie friends with posts about places they can’t try, it’s honestly heartbreaking to see beloved, delicious spots like this struggle to survive in today’s economy and eventually close. (Pear & Pickle, which I recommended before, closed two months ago. B52 and Reed & Co also announced they’re closing soon. Sigh.) Lastly, I wanna encourage everyone to support local businesses— let’s not wait until they’re gone to regret it!! Anyway, if you want to visit one last time: 🈺️ Final hours: 4/17 - 4/18, 10 AM–1 PM: Last two days of brunch 4/21 (Wed): Farewell party “CLOWNBURGER” 💗 Bitter Ends Food 📍 4613 Liberty Ave #PittsburghEats #PittsburghFood #PittsburghTravel#SupportLocalBusiness #SupportSmallBusiness 🥪💔✨
