Pittsburgh Food Review 🥩 Meat & Potatoes 🥔
Heard they use really high-quality meat—definitely worth a second visit! Next time I’ll probably try other steaks, but this time… no one steals the spotlight from the Beef Wellington 😍🔥 We had a reservation for 6 PM on a weekend. Right after we sat down, the server asked if we wanted the Beef Wellington. Since it takes 40-60 minutes to prepare, you need to let the kitchen know in advance if you want it ready on time 🕔 So we ordered it while choosing our drinks 🍷 It arrived perfectly after we finished our starters—around 40 minutes later ⏳👌 ✨ Wagyu Carpaccio Super thinly sliced raw wagyu beef—so tender it melts in your mouth! The seasoning with basil and jalapeños was unique 🌿🌶️ Not spicy, but gave a nice little kick that enhanced the beef’s flavor ~ ✨ Beef Wellington for 2 💲108 – great value for two people! The beef was incredibly tender!! Cutting into it felt so satisfying—like butter meets steak 🥩💫 It’s made with fillet, so it’s rich but not greasy. The middle layer is mushroom duxelles and ham, which helps lock in the moisture. The flavor was delicious, though the duxelles was slightly dry. Because of that, the puff pastry shell didn’t stick perfectly—could be improved for a flakier texture 🥐 Served with roasted carrots and potatoes 🥕🥔 ✨ Fried Brussels Sprouts An extra side—and honestly, restaurant-style Brussels always hit different 😋 So crispy on the edges!! Topped with Parmesan cheese—absolutely addictive 🧀🔥 ✨ Chocolate Mousse Not entirely sure what exactly it was, but it’s a classic dessert across Richard Restaurant Group’s venues 🍫 Highly recommended for chocolate lovers! Rich, decadent, with layers of different creamy textures 😍 The biscuit on the side was unnecessary though—I ended up just scooping the mousse straight up lol 🥄💖 📍 Meat & Potatoes 649 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh 🅿️ Parked at Theatre Square Parking—flat rate $20 on weekends. Super convenient! That’s a wrap~ If you enjoyed this, give it a like and save 💖 #Pittsburgh #PittsburghFood #PittsburghEats #WeekendVibes #FoodReview #ThingsToDoInPittsburgh #PittsburghLife #BeefWellington #FoodieAdventure
