Pittsburgh Nearby Travel Guide 2: Cleveland / Erie / Cabin Getaway 🚗

Following my last post, here’s more fun around Pittsburgh — this time a bit further out! These routes are perfect for a 3-day short trip with about 3 hours of driving. Stay tuned for Route 2 in the next post! Route 1: Cleveland - Getaway - Erie 🌊 Recommended: Stay one night at Getaway, then head to Presque Isle State Park in Erie, followed by a night in Cleveland. Cleveland has plenty to offer — 3 days and 2 nights will feel just right! 1. Getaway Beaver Creek 🏡 (Drive: ~1h10min) 📍 45529 Middle Beaver Rd, Lisbon, OH 44432 A popular tiny cabin retreat — perfect for escaping work and study stress! 📵 Each cabin comes with books and games to help you unplug. Choose a 1-bed cabin for a full window with beautiful views 🪟🌲. Check-in at 3 PM — perfect for grilling outdoors or cooking inside. They provide chocolate and marshmallows for s’mores 🍫🔥, and simple meals are available for purchase (but bringing your own food is easier and fun!). 2. Presque Isle State Park 🏝 (Drive: ~2h) 📍 301 Peninsula Dr, Erie, PA 16505 A peninsula along Lake Erie with a long sandy beach — feels like the ocean! 🏖️ Great for biking, walking, or a scenic drive. 3. Cleveland 🌃 1️⃣ Case Western Reserve University Area 🎨 Visit the Cleveland Museum of Art — huge collection and rotating exhibits. MOCA Cleveland (Museum of Contemporary Art) is also nearby and worth a stop. 2️⃣ Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 🤘🎸 A must for rock music fans! Right next to Lake Erie — don’t miss the Cleveland landmark photo spot 📸. 3️⃣ Food Recs 🥢 Li Wah for dim sum (a Cleveland classic!)
