Point Ruston: A Poetic Seaside Escape in the South of Seattle

📷 This is the 1st entry in a series of road trip notes from a journey along the West Coast of the United States in July and August. 📷 After numerous visits to Seattle, this time, starting from Vancouver, I decided not to stop in Seattle but to head straight to Tacoma, south of Seattle, as the first leg of my road trip to San Diego. 📷 Visiting this city for the first time, I came across many photogenic spots on social media, such as Point Ruston. This seaside resort town is lined with restaurants, boasts a beautiful coastline, and offers a stunning backdrop of boats and Mt. Rainier. It’s even better for photography if you have a telephoto lens. For convenience, I only brought a standard zoom lens this time. 📷 Upon arriving at Point Ruston, I felt it had a more down-to-earth vibe similar to North Vancouver’s Lonsdale Quay. Compared to the view of Mt. Baker from Vancouver, the much taller Mt. Rainier makes for an undoubtedly more spectacular backdrop. #SeattleLife #Seattle #SeattleSurroundings #SeattleWeekend #Tacoma #Ruston #USRoadTrip #WashingtonState #MtRainier #mtrainier
