🦪 Port Angeles Dining | Kokopelli Grill - Olympic National Park
After revisiting Olympic National Park and trying several highly-recommended restaurants, most were just okay. New Day Eatery is decent for brunch, and Sabai Thai offers a break from "white people food," but Kokopelli Grill remains my favorite—generous portions, fresh seafood, and diverse options. (Full menu in last pic for reference!) 🍽️ Our Top Picks: 🦪 New Orleans Style Grilled Oysters (Half Dozen - $21) If raw oysters aren’t your thing, try these tequila-garlic butter grilled oysters—succulent, smoky, and topped with Parmesan and cilantro for an extra flavor punch. 🐚 Spanish Penn Cove Clams & Mussels ($22) Penn Cove (near Seattle) is famous for plump mussels, and this dish proves why. Simmered in white wine, garlic, cream, and tomatoes, the broth was so good we fought over dipping bread into it. Bonus: little sausages hidden inside! 🥗 Santa Fe Salmon Salad ($25) Not your basic salad! Loaded with corn salsa, avocado, Mexican cheese, roasted red peppers, and crispy tortilla strips, topped with a hefty grilled salmon fillet. 🥩 21-Day Dry-Aged Steak (12oz - $35) A Northwest-raised flat iron steak, aged for depth of flavor and grilled to tender perfection. Served simply with garlic butter—no frills needed. 🐟 Kokopelli Combo ($42) A best-value seafood platter featuring wine-garlic shrimp, scallops, roasted salmon, and crab cakes on a bed of arugula, drizzled with lemon-basil aioli. 🦀 Dungeness Crab Stuffed Halibut ($44) Pan-seared halibut stuffed with sweet crab meat, served with a jalapeño cream sauce—rich but balanced. 🍞 Sides & Extras: Mains come with your choice of starch (opt for the juice-soaked rice over plain mashed potatoes). Complimentary bread with house-made cinnamon butter is a must. Downside: Service drags during peak season—patience required! #TravelEats #OlympicNationalPark #PortAngeles #SeattleEats #SeafoodLover
