Portions Big Enough to Feed a Middle-Class American Family of Six 😅

📍 Cafe La Maude I visited this classic Philadelphia restaurant that I’ve had on my list for a long time. During my school days, I loved coming here for brunch, sipping coffee☕️ and enjoying the food, feeling like I could briefly blend into the American vibe. But ever since I quit coffee, brunch just doesn’t appeal to me as much anymore. It doesn’t give me the same satisfaction as having dim sum for breakfast. This top-tier Philadelphia spot did not disappoint in terms of portion size. I ordered three dishes, and when they arrived, the guy at the next table was already gaping and covering his mouth, trying to stifle a laugh 😂. The portions were so huge that they couldn’t even fit on one table—it felt like enough food to feed a middle-class American family of six. The food was pretty good. The best part was the side of fries and the pancakes. The rest was pretty much what you see is what you get—nothing fancy, just solid flavors. The vibe in the restaurant is great, though. It’s perfect for a date or a coffee chat.
