Portland, Maine | Yosaku 🍣🍱🍜 Simple and Delicious Japanese Food
Today, I want to share a Japanese restaurant in Portland—Yosaku! ✨ I’ve always believed that the charm of Japanese cuisine lies in the natural flavor of the ingredients. Since Portland is close to the ocean, the seafood here is especially fresh, so the Japanese food definitely doesn’t disappoint! 🌊🐟 My favorite dish is their grilled salmon! 🔥 Seasoned simply with coarse salt and black pepper, the flavor is just right—not too salty nor too bland. After finishing the entire portion, I didn’t feel greasy at all. It was super satisfying! The rice served with it is also particularly fragrant—it’s that dry yet soft Japanese-style rice, a perfect match! 🍚❤️ Their Hot Veggie Soba is also worth trying! 🍜 I heard they use handmade soba noodles, and it’s indeed a specialty. The noodles have a slight chewiness but don’t feel dry or hard. The texture is great, and the seasoning is simple and natural without too many additives. It’s very pleasant to eat! 🌿 We also ordered fresh sea urchin and octopus. 🐙 The sea urchin was pretty good, and the octopus was very chewy with a fresh taste. The sushi was also excellent—the sashimi was especially moist and much better than what I’ve had at other places! 🍣👍 Overall, Yosaku is a highly recommended Japanese restaurant. The flavors are simple yet delicious, the ingredients are fresh, and eating here feels completely effortless. If you’re in Portland, be sure to give it a try! 💫 #JapaneseCuisine #PortlandMaine #FreshSeafood #SimpleAndDelicious #Yosaku #FoodRecommendation #SobaNoodles
