Portland food diary--The Holy Donut
—————— 🔆Restaurant Name: The Holy Donut 📍Address: 194 Park Ave, Portland, ME 04102 🕒Operating Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM 🍽Food: 👄Texture: What sets this place apart is the use of sweet potato in making the doughnuts, giving them a subtle natural sweetness. The dough has a dense and substantial feel, more akin to fried bread with a certain chewiness. 👅Taste: I tried four varieties on my first day, and none of them disappointed!! Plus, all the doughnuts have a mild sweetness level, which I really appreciate. 🍩Toasted Coconut: Roasted coconut flakes with syrup, the coconut is crunchy and fragrant when chewed. 🍩Maple Bacon: Bacon with maple syrup, full of the savory aroma of bacon with a perfect balance of salty and sweet. 🍩Dark Chocolate Sea Salt: This is my favorite ❤️ The exterior is fried to an incredibly crisp texture, and the interior has a faint chocolate flavor. The sea salt is not overly prominent, but it's indescribable how delicious it is. —————— #Portland#The Holy Donut#dessert#food diary
