π² Portland Hiking Adventure - Ramona Falls Trail π
π Stats: All Trails: 7.2 miles / 1076 ft elevation Garmin: 7.7 miles / 1108 ft / 3hr12min After failing to kick off this year's hiking season at Poo Poo Point last month (thanks to a friend who quit halfway π ), I spontaneously decided to drive down to Portland for a hike-and-wine weekend! Left Seattle at 8 AM, reached the trailhead by 12:30 PMβno regrets! ππ¨ Chose Ramona Falls Trail for its river crossing, waterfall views, and glimpses of Mt. Hood. Final rating? 4/5 π The falls and mountain vistas were stunning, but the real magic was the 1.5-mile return trail along a babbling creekβbirds chirping, insects humming, soft pine needles underfoot... pure meditation vibes! π§ββοΈπ β οΈ Heads up: The first mile is boring (and sun-exposed βοΈ). The "river crossing" is just a log bridge (meh πͺ΅)βor wade through if you're bold! No permits needed, but no restrooms at the trailhead either. π»β Still, thrilled this was my first hike of the year! π πΏ Why Hike It? Waterfall payoff π¦ Serene creek-side return πΆ Mt. Hood peeks ποΈ Dog-friendly (on leash) π #HikingPacificNorthwest #WaterfallHikes #PortlandAdventures #PNWOutdoors #TrailVibes #NatureTherapy #Wanderlust #ExploreOregon
