🏰 Poshanu Towers, Champa Towers
Poshanu Towers, located on Ba Nai Mountain, 7 kilometers northeast of Phan Thiet city, are one of the most precious and important cultural relics of the ancient Champa Kingdom. These towers, built in the late 8th century, were dedicated to the highly revered Shiva spirits by the Cham people. Beside these three towers, there was once a temple that has been buried underground for over 300 years. Inside the main tower, there is an altar worshiping a pair of Liga-Yoni, symbolizing the existence of the Shiva spirit. The architecture is similar to the early red-brick towers of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, but the signs of partial renovation are quite evident, with modern repairs not achieving the desired "restore old as old" effect. As one of the few historical buildings in southern Vietnam, it's worth a visit. The admission fee is very cheap and can be considered negligible. There are signs prohibiting the use of drones. 📍 Location: Northern part of Nha Trang city, 96/2 Trần Phú, Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa, Vietnam. ⌚️ Opening Hours: 6:00 – 18:00. 🎫 Admission Fee: 22,000 Vietnamese Dong (less than 7 RMB). 🚗 Transportation: Grab/Motorcycle (motorcycle parking fee is 4,000 Vietnamese Dong). #Vietnam #VietnamTravel #NhaTrang #ChamTowers #PoshanuTowers #OffTheBeatenPath #HistoricalArchitecture
