Preservation Hall in New Orleans 🎷🎵

When in the birthplace of jazz, how could I not join the scene? After searching online for jazz spots, Preservation Hall kept popping up — and sure enough, it was packed when I arrived. I bought a standing ticket for the afternoon show on the 31st — $25 (seated tickets were sold out). Seats are divided into first class ($50) and second class ($40), which felt a bit pricey for a 45-minute set.🎵 The hall is surprisingly small — the stage is just a tiny space, followed by a few rows of long benches, and a stepped standing area at the back. It got pretty cozy — or should I say, crowded 😅. The jazz was good, but honestly… after a while, it started to feel a bit repetitive to me. Maybe it’s just not totally my groove.
