🐶 Puppy’s View of the World｜Salt Lake City 🏂

Returned from Telluride to Salt Lake City mostly via the same route. Stayed three nights at the Kimpton downtown—valet parking, no pet cleaning fee! 🐾 Salt Lake City in summer means hiding from the heat during the day and only coming out at night. We only visited two spots during the day because it was too hot—just wanted to rush back to the AC! ❄️ ☀️ ​​Bonneville Salt Flats​​ Quite a drive from Salt Lake City! Key tip: Fill up your gas tank in the city before heading out—the last 100+ miles of highway have no gas stations! ⛽ We started with half a tank and arrived with the fuel light on… almost thought we’d be stranded calling for help! 😅 Pet-friendly, but in summer there’s no water, just salt. We didn’t let the pup walk on it to protect those little paws. 🐕👣 ☀️ ​​Antelope Island State Park​​ A pet-friendly state park with many trails. Went expecting to see antelope but found mostly bees instead 🐝—didn’t spot a single antelope! My pup kept trying to bite the bees, so we cut the hike short to avoid a “bee-dog” situation. 🐝😬 Saw tons of bison—even more than in Yellowstone or Grand Teton! 🐂 Meals were all takeaway due to the heat: 🍴 Antica Roma 🍴 The Capital Grille Ahhh finally sorted through all the photos from this trip—two months later!
