A bit unsure of where to check in, we mentioned our reservation to one of the bartenders who swiftly and smoothly got us sorted. β A classic red velvet rope (adding that touch of classic charm! πͺ) elegantly separated the cozy, historic dining area from the bustling bar crowd. In that moment, we shared a look of pure relief β thank goodness we'd booked ahead! π Warm Welcome & Seamless Service Then came the wonderful Zan (I believe his full name is Zanya! π«). He greeted us at our table with genuine warmth and immediately offered us sparkling or still water. His friendly, professional demeanor set the perfect tone for the evening! π Navigating the Sunday Roast Situation Now, for the main event β the famous Sunday Roast! π₯§ We hadn't expected the traditional roast dinner to be available so late on a Sunday, but it was indeed still on the menu. Zan quickly managed our expectations β the kitchen had been unusually busy, and they had unfortunately sold out of the roast potatoes, chicken, and beef due to the rush. π― We totally understood β fresh, quality ingredients aren't mass-produced, and we appreciated the honesty! We happily ordered the roast ham dinner and the vegetarian "mushroom wellington" roast. Both were executed beautifully, incredibly flavorful, and clearly made with care. π¨βπ³ A huge shoutout to the chef and kitchen team β everything was absolutely on point! π The Zan Effect: Service That Shines A special mention again to our server, Zan.
