鉁堬笍It took about a 90-minute drive from New Chitose Airport through the snow-covered coniferous forest before I finally arrived at my destination鈥擪iroro Grand Hotel. As a hotel mainly targeting skiing vacations, its first impression on me was "you won't regret coming here". 馃寗The hotel is located at the foot of the Kiroro Ski Resort. Just open the lobby's floor-to-ceiling windows and you can step right onto the ski slopes. 馃寗馃専For people like me who come here specifically for skiing, this kind of "ski-in and ski-out" convenience is just perfect. The ski rental and lockers are right next to the lobby, and the staff will proactively help dry your ski boots. 馃寗馃専However, a friend traveling with me reminded me that if you visit in summer, there are neither attractions nor many commercial facilities around, so it might seem a bit desolate. Although it's close to Otaru, it still takes about 2 hours to drive back and forth, so it's not really that near in the true sense. 馃彉锔廡he small family superior room we stayed in is about 37 square meters, a typical Japanese practical style. 馃寗馃専In local Japan, this room size is already quite good~ #Japan 馃寗馃専
