🌟 Recommendation | Cycling to Muiderslot Castle 🚴‍♀️

📣 If you're staying in Amsterdam for more than three nights, I recommend taking a cycling trip from Amsterdam to Muiderslot Castle. Muiderslot Castle is Amsterdam's only castle, with nearly 500 years of architectural history. However, among Amsterdam's many world-class attractions, the castle itself ranks only in the second tier. So, why do I recommend visiting here? 🌟 🚴‍♀️Cycling in Amsterdam, like a local, is an experience worth having. Among the most famous cycling routes, the shortest, the Waterland Loop, is 35 kilometers long, which is too long for most non-enthusiasts. The distance to Muiderslot Castle, however, is acceptable. The one-way trip takes just over an hour. Although it's a bit physically demanding, it's ultimately within an acceptable range. 🌟 🐟On your way to the castle, before turning towards the river dike, you'll pass by a shopping center (it's on the way, you won't miss it). The shopping center itself is nothing special. But the pickled cucumber and onion with herring sold from the food truck (the only one at the square entrance) is definitely worth a taste. Our group of 8 people tried it in several different places in the Netherlands, and we all agreed that this one had the best taste and the cheapest price. The most authentic way to eat herring 🐟: with pickles and onion, swallowed raw, one at a time. Fishy? Not at all. 🌟 ⛵️Next to Muiderslot Castle is a quiet harbor ⚓️, filled with various yachts. Along the waterfront, there's a row of beautifully decorated restaurants 🍴, perfect for enjoying an al fresco lunch followed by a lazy cup of coffee and some daydreaming.
