Recommended Serbian Specialty Restaurant in Podgorica City Center

While traveling to Montenegro with friends 🥟, our Airbnb host recommended this Serbian restaurant in downtown Podgorica. The food here is decent and authentic, but the portions are gigantic! Be careful not to overorder—start with a few dishes and add more later if needed. What We Ordered: Podgorički Japrak (Cabbage Meat Rolls) A must-try! All three of us loved this dish. It comes with six rolls—the staff kindly split them evenly for us. Tender cabbage leaves wrap around a savory meat filling, served with a small potato and drizzled with sauce. Specijalitet Kuće za 2 Osobe (House Specialty Meat Platter for Two) Despite being labeled as a "two-person portion," it’s massive—even three of us couldn’t finish it. Four people with smaller appetites could likely polish it off. The platter includes: Total Bill: €60.5. We paid €65 and told the waiter to keep the change as a tip. The service was excellent—he helped us order, split dishes, brought sauces, cleared plates, and even checked in to ensure we enjoyed the meal. Why Visit? If you’re in Montenegro, spend a night in Podgorica. The city is small (think Chinese county-town vibes) and quiet—we saw zero other Asian travelers besides ourselves. A peaceful spot to wander and relax! Restaurant Info 🏠 Name: Pod Volat 📍 Address: Trg Vojvode Bećira Osmanagića 1, Podgorica, Montenegro 💶 Price Range: €10–15/pax (Google Maps) | Our spend: €22/pax #Montenegro #MontenegroTravel #MontenegroFood #Podgorica #HiddenGemRestaurant #EuropeTravel #EuropeFoodExploration #StudyAbroadLife
